What I did in Washington DC, by Allie Schnurr

Actually I’m just going to post some of my favorite things I encountered.

I was surprisingly excited to see the Lincoln memorial. I think of all the well known monuments and memorials, Lincoln’s was the one I most wanted to see as a kid. The building itself was pretty cool too, I loved the ceiling.

I went to the National Zoo to finally see a real live Panda! They were behind glass the whole time I was there, instead of in their outdoor habitat. But were still fun to see. The lion exhibit was the best though. There were about 6 adorable lion cubs and lots of roaring.

Um, but my favorite thing at the Museum of American History…was C-3PO. Clearly I’m a child of the 80s.
